Discover random events in The Stanley Parable, like the office changing, the ringing phone, and the broom closet.
Walkthrough
- 1The office you leave may not always be the same one you return to. This is rare and may only occur after finding one ending.
- 2Occasionally, the telephone outside your office on the left may ring, with calls from Stanley's wife, a disclaimer about automated messages, or confirmation of a box order. Restarting the game may be necessary to find these boxes scattered around the office.
- 3It may rain, though this appears to have no other effect.
- 4If the narrator mentions someone following you, look out the windows of other offices to potentially see another Stanley walking around.
- 5Sometimes the floor will be littered with papers, which has no other effect.
- 6If you stand in the broom closet (located to the right after the meeting room, if you took the left door) for a period, the narrator may assume you have died and request another player. If you restart the game, re-enter the broom closet, and restart again, the broom closet will be boarded off.
- 7Be aware of the broom closet potentially saying "boom closet," which signals an impending surprise.
- 8The monitors may display different content. Unless a monitor requests input (which is required for the 'heaving ending'), it has no gameplay effect.
- 9In the Mind Control Facility, press the three buttons and then return to trigger a 'DISCO!' event.
- 10If you enter your boss's office and leave before the doors close, you can then enter the bathroom (to the left of the stairs) or the elevator (opposite the boss's office). The bathroom may contain a random rhyme, and the elevator will provide continuous entertainment, but it never ends, so do not spend too much time there.
Tips
- To speedrun The Stanley Parable, you might need a blue office or to go straight to a single hallway immediately after leaving your office. However, these office changes are rare and random.
- The random office changes are unlikely to happen unless you have found at least one ending.
