The Mentoring System in THRONE AND LIBERTY offers a unique opportunity for both seasoned veterans and aspiring adventurers to collaborate, share knowledge, and reap substantial rewards. This system fosters community growth and accelerates progression for newer players while providing valuable incentives for experienced mentors.

Becoming a Mentor

To become a Mentor, your character must meet specific criteria:

• Level Requirement: You must be at least Level 30.
• Reputation: Maintain a positive reputation score, achievable through completing Alliance Tasks and contributing to your Alliance Bastion.
• Quest Completion: Complete the introductory questline "The Guiding Hand," available from NPC Elara in the Regional Capital.

Once eligible, access the Mentoring interface via the "Community" tab in your main menu. Click "Register as Mentor" and confirm your commitment. You can set your availability and preferred activities (e.g., Dungeon runs, World Bosses, Questing).

Becoming a Protégé

Newer players, or those seeking guidance, can become Protégés. To qualify:

• Level Requirement: Your character must be between Level 1 and Level 29.
• Quest Completion: Complete the initial tutorial quests that introduce you to your City and basic combat.

Access the Mentoring interface and click "Seek Mentor." You can browse available Mentors, view their profiles, and send a request. It's recommended to look for Mentors who align with your playstyle and goals.

Mentoring Activities and Rewards

Mentors and Protégés can engage in several activities together, all of which grant bonus rewards:

1. Questing Together

• How it Works: Mentors can join Protégés on their main story quests, side quests, and even daily Alliance Tasks. The Protégé must be the party leader for the bonus to apply.
• Rewards:
  • Protégé: +20% Experience Gain, +10% Solant (currency) from quest completions.
  • Mentor: "Mentor's Mark" tokens (used in the Mentor Shop), +5% Solant from quest completions, and a chance for "Mentor's Blessing" buffs (temporary stat increases).

2. Dungeon Expeditions

• How it Works: Mentors can guide Protégés through Dungeons appropriate for the Protégé's level. This is an excellent way to teach mechanics and strategies.
• Recommended Dungeons for Protégés (Levels 1-29):
  • The Sunken Grotto (Level 10-15): Located near the starting City. Focus on basic mob control and boss mechanics.
  • Whispering Catacombs (Level 20-25): Accessible from the Regional Capital. Introduces more complex environmental hazards.
• Rewards:
  • Protégé: +30% Experience Gain, +15% chance for rare Equipment drops, bonus "Dungeon Cores" (crafting material).
  • Mentor: "Mentor's Mark" tokens, +10% chance for rare Equipment drops, and a daily "Mentor's Cache" containing various Items.

3. World Boss Encounters

• How it Works: Mentors can bring Protégés to World Boss events. While Protégés may not contribute significantly to damage, their presence under a Mentor's guidance still grants rewards.
• Strategy: Mentors should focus on protecting their Protégé and explaining boss attack patterns.
• Rewards:
  • Protégé: Guaranteed "Minor Spoils of War" chest, +5% chance for a "Champion's Token" (used for Champion Talents).
  • Mentor: "Mentor's Mark" tokens, increased contribution points for the World Boss, and a chance for "Elite Spoils of War" chest.

The Mentor Shop

The "Mentor's Mark" tokens earned by Mentors can be exchanged at the Mentor Shop, located next to Elara in the Regional Capital. Available items include:

• Exclusive Mount Skins: Unique appearances for your Traveling Hero's mount.
• Cosmetic Armor Sets: Non-stat-boosting armor for aesthetic customization.
• Resource Bundles: Packs of essential resources like Solant, crafting materials, and experience scrolls.
• Temporary Buffs: Potions and scrolls that grant short-term boosts to various stats.
• "Protégé's Gift" Boxes: These can be given to your Protégé and contain useful items like health potions, minor gear upgrades, or small amounts of Solant.

Important Considerations

• Communication: Clear communication between Mentor and Protégé is crucial for a successful partnership. Use the in-game Chat system or Alliance voice chat.
• Duration: A Mentoring partnership lasts until the Protégé reaches Level 30 or either party chooses to end the mentorship.
• Fair Play: Abuse of the system (e.g., using multiple low-level accounts to farm Mentor's Marks) is strictly prohibited and can result in penalties.
• Alliance Integration: Many Alliances encourage their members to participate in the Mentoring System, as it strengthens the overall Alliance and helps new recruits integrate faster. Check your Alliance Diplomacy tab for any specific guidelines.
