Master the top spawn near the cathedral in Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. Learn optimal team positioning and rush tactics for a decisive advantage.

Alright, let's talk about the top spawn near that big cathedral-looking building. Trust me, it's got a serious advantage if you play it right. You've got the high ground, which means your snipers can lock down the main road, the junkyard, and that passage down the valley. It's all about setting up your team effectively, especially if you've got at least 5 players.

Here's the play: Two guys need to lock down the mountain pass on the left. Don't push up too far, just hold near the top. Their job is to find cover and be ready to ambush anyone trying to rush that flank. It's crucial they don't get picked off early. Then, you need one player watching the blue house and the center road. This is a key position to stop enemies from crossing into the junkyard. They should be using a sniper rifle or a weapon with a 4x scope, like the SA-80 or MR-C, and set up near the rocks on the right side of the road for cover. Finally, send two players to cover the FAR right of the junkyard. If they're good at rushing, have them push all the way to the far right, right up to the enemy's spawn point.

That player watching the blue house and the road is super important. They're the linchpin, making sure no one sneaks behind your far-right rushers and calling out anyone who makes it across to the junkyard.

Now, if that strategy isn't working out, there's always the option to rush the blue house directly. You'll use the same team layout, but this time, have your best rusher go down the left side of the road and loop around the middle of the blue house. The player covering the road should then shift to cover the right side of the blue house, providing fire support. The other rusher on the right side should still do their thing, pushing all the way to the far right to try and snag some easy kills while the first rusher draws attention.

Got it? Good. As always, if you manage to take out a few enemies and have the numbers advantage, you want to start pushing up. But if you notice your team is getting wiped out, fall back to the spawn. Only go for the final push when it's just one enemy player left.
