Getting Started in the Meadows:

1. Begin by exploring the coastline to map the area and identify a suitable location for your first base. Gather berries and mushrooms for sustenance.
2. Collect Wood by punching small trees or picking up branches, and Stone by gathering small rocks.
3. Craft a Stone Axe to defend against Greylings and Boars, and to gather wood more efficiently. Be cautious of falling trees.
4. Use the in-game map to mark points of interest. Consider trapping a rare two-star boar for future taming.

Establishing Your First Base:

• Choose a location, preferably near the coast for flint access. Your first base doesn't need to be highly defensible.
• Gather Raspberries and Mushrooms, which respawn over time.
• Craft a Hammer to build a Workbench. A workbench requires basic walls and a roof to function for crafting and repairs.
• Repairing items and structures costs no resources.
• Build a basic shelter with a covered Workbench and Bed.
• Place a Campfire near the Bed to sleep. Ensure adequate ventilation for the campfire or build a roof over it to protect it from rain.
• Construct Cooking Stations over the campfire to cook meat from hunted deer and boars, improving health and stamina regeneration. Understand food types: stamina-focused (yellow fork), balanced (silver fork), and health-focused (red fork).
• Sleeping at night can offer protection from increased monster spawns.

Preparing for Eikthyr (First Boss):

• Gather Flint from the beach for crafting spears, knives, axes, and workbench upgrades.
• Hunt Boars for meat and Leather scraps.
• Craft a Crude Bow and Wood or Fire Arrows if planning a ranged approach. Feathers for arrows are obtained from birds or by cutting trees.
• For melee combat, craft a shield.
• Craft a Chopping Block to upgrade weapons to level 2.
