As players become more comfortable with Jinx's weapon switching in 2XKO, the intermediate combos offer more depth and damage potential. These sequences often involve chaining her abilities and weapon attacks together more fluidly, aiming to extend combos and apply pressure. A common intermediate strategy involves initiating with Fishbones, the Rocket Launcher, to create space or land a hit from a distance. After landing a rocket, you can quickly switch to Pow-Pow, the Minigun and dash in to continue the assault with its rapid attacks. This sequence might look like: Rocket (Fishbones) -> Dash -> Light Attack String (Pow-Pow).

A more advanced intermediate combo utilizes Jinx's Flame Chompers! (E) ability to set up for follow-up attacks. After landing a few hits with Pow-Pow, you can strategically place a Flame Chomper trap. If the opponent steps on it, they will be briefly stunned, allowing you to immediately switch back to Fishbones and land a rocket, or continue with a Pow-Pow string. This requires good positioning and anticipating the opponent's movement. The goal is to create opportunities for guaranteed hits that might not be possible with basic attack strings alone. Mastering the timing of placing Flame Chompers and following up is crucial for this intermediate strategy.

Intermediate also start incorporating Jinx's ultimate, Super Mega Death Rocket! (R), into their combo planning. While it's a powerful finisher, it can also be used to extend combos or secure kills from across the map. A typical intermediate approach might involve landing a solid Pow-Pow combo, building up some damage, and then using Zap! (W) to stun the opponent. Immediately after the stun, you can cancel into Super Mega Death Rocket! (R). This requires precise timing to ensure the rocket connects while the opponent is still recovering from the Zap! stun. Practicing these sequences in the training mode, paying attention to hitstun decay and optimal weapon switching, will significantly improve Jinx's effectiveness in intermediate-level play. Remember that 2XKO's 2v2 format means you can often tag out to your partner after a successful intermediate combo to set up a devastating follow-up, maximizing your team's damage output.
