Combat Challenges:
Joker faces Arkham guards but not Knife Henchmen, Pipe Henchmen, or Titans. He must contend with Stun Batons, Wall Mountings, and Gun Cabinets. Boles, Cash, and Gordon may appear but are not special.
Joker can perform Batman's regular moves: Strike, Counter, Evade, Ground Takedown, Special Throw, and Special Takedown. He uses Joker Toxin instead of a Cape Stun, which functions identically.
Joker moves slightly more sluggishly than Batman, potentially affecting combos. He has a standard health bar and does not benefit from Armor Upgrades or regain health between rounds.
Joker's only special weapon is his gun, which provides an instant kill when used during or standalone in a combo. The gunshot is worth 250 points multiplied by your combo and counts as a different attack for variations (max combo multiplier is x8, as he lacks a Batclaw). You get one shot per round.

Predator Challenges:
Joker cannot grapple, limiting movement, and lacks a normal Detective Mode. You will need to rely more on hiding, running, and Silent Takedowns. Guards do not have collars, so they won't be alerted when a fellow guard is taken down.
Joker has three tools:
- Gun: Loud and an instant kill, capable of multiple kills if guards are positioned correctly. You get one shot per challenge.
- Teeth: You carry one set per challenge. They chatter and can be moved before detonating for an explosion that incapacitates enemies and destroys breakable walls. It is loud. You are visible while controlling them.
- X-Ray Specs: Joker's version of Detective Mode (HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap)). You can see enemies but cannot move, must stand up, and can only use them in first-person view.
