Master Gee the Invincible

Master Gee the Invincible is a tough boss in Borderlands 2. Learn the strategy to defeat him by using Sand Worm acid pools to break his shield and then unload on him.

Alright, so you've made it to Master Gee the Invincible. This guy's a bit of a pain, mostly because his shield is completely immune to everything you throw at it. Seriously, don't waste your ammo trying to break it directly.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Resistances: All damage to his shield.
• Weaknesses: Bullets (once his shield is down).

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Shielded Master Gee
   Master Gee will have an invulnerable shield up. Sand Worms will spawn periodically in the arena.
2. Phase 2: Shield Down
   Once his shield is broken, Master Gee becomes vulnerable to all damage.

Strategy:

• When you enter the arena, you'll notice Master Gee and these Sand Worms. Your main goal here isn't to kill Gee directly at first, but to manage the Sand Worms and the environment.
• Killing a Sand Worm causes it to explode, leaving a large pool of acid on the ground. This acid is key.
• The catch is that if *you* stand in the acid pool, you'll get a nasty debuff. That's not what we want.
• What we *do* want is for Master Gee to get that debuff. To do this, you need to lure him into standing in the acid pools. This is where communication is vital if you're playing with friends. You'll need to figure out who Gee is targeting and keep him moving.
• While you're luring Gee, make sure you're also killing the Sand Worms as they spawn. If too many build up, they can overwhelm the arena, making it really difficult to maneuver.
• Keep pulling Master Gee into these acid pools. Each time he's forced to absorb the acid, it'll chip away at his shield.
• Eventually, his shield will drop! This is your cue. As soon as that shield is gone, stop worrying about the acid and just focus on pure offense. Pump him full of as much lead as you can before his shield comes back up.
• Repeat this process until he's defeated. It might take a few cycles of luring him into the acid and then unloading damage, but it's the only reliable way to take him down.
