Alright, let's get you into Stalingrad. This is the fifteenth mission in the campaign, and the first one for the Soviet side. You'll be playing as Corporal Alexei Voronin, and the goal is to retake the Stalingrad docks. Just a heads-up, the commissars are pretty serious about Order #227 – no retreating, or you'll be shot on sight. So, stick close to your squad and follow orders. Your mission starts with a boat crossing the Volga River. It's going to get rough fast. German Junkers Ju 87 "Stuka" dive bombers will start strafing, and artillery will be hitting the boats. Some guys will panic and jump into the water, but the commissars will gun them down. Try to stay in your boat until you reach the docks. Once you land, you'll be given either a rifle or just a clip of ammo. You'll likely get the clip, so you'll need to find a rifle quickly. The Germans have MG42s set up on the hill overlooking the docks, and they'll be cutting down the poorly-armed conscripts. You'll need to move fast and use cover. Sergeant Borodin, a sniper, will be your best bet here. He'll use you as bait to take out those MG42 gunners. When he tells you to move, make a dash for cover. He'll take out one gunner while you distract them. Then, he'll have you move to another piece of cover while he takes out the second. Listen to him, he knows what he's doing. After that, you'll need to get to a house. Keep an eye out for a commissar who might try to shoot you for falling back – Borodin will take care of that threat. You'll then link up with a radioman. He'll call in artillery support, which is crucial for pushing the Germans back. Once the barrage hits, you'll advance up the hill towards Red Square. Just keep pushing forward, and you'll secure the objective.
