Underground Route: Level 6Y – Sunken City of Poltergeists

BLK 6-01: Start by grabbing candles and defeating the Skeleton Swordsman. Continue left, being mindful of difficult jumps. Downstairs, face Fishmen emerging from the water and collect candles. Make your way left, utilizing sub-weapons like the Banshee Boomerang or Axe. Head up when possible.

Continue left, defeating another Swordsman. Grab the Sacred Water from an upper candle. To the far left, a Bone Dragon guards the door. You can attack it from the right of the stairs with sub-weapons, or engage it directly, noting it drops many hearts.

BLK 6-02: This screen resembles the lower screen of the previous block but with added Bats. Head left, avoiding Bats and Fishmen. After a stretch of land, you'll navigate gaps and stairs. Enemies stop appearing, signaling an upcoming Bone Dragon. Defeat it using sub-weapons from a safe position.

BLK 6-03: Grab the Axe from the first candle if needed. Collect other candles, then drop down for a close-range Bone Dragon fight. Dodge low fireballs and attack with sub-weapons and your whip.

After defeating the first Bone Dragon, continue left, collecting items. Another Bone Dragon is above you; attack it carefully without jumping unnecessarily. Past it, an upper candle contains a Pocket Watch (not ideal at this point). Collect remaining candles and proceed upwards.

You'll reach an upper coliseum. Collect candles, noting the Dagger in the upper left. Jump down and prepare for another Bone Dragon on flat ground; dodge its low shots and defeat it.

BOSS: Bone Dragon King (Part 1): The Dragon King enters from the upper left. Attack as it appears. It moves erratically; try to stay on the upper left or right to dodge. Its long tail can be dangerous, but chunks fall off as you damage it. Avoid being knocked into the water below, as this is instant death. The Axe or Banshee Boomerang are effective. The boss will eventually flee as the room fills with water.

BLK 6-04: Quickly kill the Bat. This screen has rising water, so be fast. Head right, jumping gaps while avoiding Bats and Fishmen. A candle before elevated platforms contains a Dagger.

The elevated platforms crumble as you cross. The second platform has Sacred Water. Whip or use sub-weapons on each new platform to avoid being knocked back into the water by Fishmen.

As the water rises rapidly, you'll reach a path split. Choose UP. If time permits, you can go right to a dead end with a breakable wall containing a 1-Up, but prioritize reaching the exit if time is short.
