Lower Route Walkthrough (6)

Your complete guide to conquering the Lower Route (Mission 6) in Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Learn how to deploy, defend, and attack to achieve victory.

Alright, let's get this mission rolling! You're starting out with your MCV, so the first thing you need to do is deploy it and get a power plant up and running. Don't dawdle, because a few Allied troops are going to come charging in from the north-east pretty quickly. Get your dogs (attack dogs, that is!) over there to intercept them before they can cause trouble.

Once the power plant is down, place it to the right of your construction yard. Then, get an ore refinery started. After that, you'll want to build a war factory, a second ore miner, and a radar station. Finally, get an airfield built and start churning out some heavy tanks.

Here's a little trick for you: once your airfield is up, use the scout plane. Let it charge up, then send it to scout the very north-east corner of the map. You'll spot an Allied radar station there, guarded by two light tanks. As soon as your paratrooper unit is ready, drop them right behind that radar station. Your goal is to destroy it before those light tanks can get you!

With about ten heavy tanks in your arsenal, it's time to push. Head up the left side of the map, and then make a turn to the east when you reach the northern edge of the screen. The Allied base here isn't super tough, so you should be able to roll right over them. Prioritize taking out their turrets and tanks first, then move on to the infantry and buildings. Once everything Allied is gone, you'll have completed the mission!
