    Start by defeating the mallet enemy. Jump over the pit onto reddish ground, burrow under it to kill the plant, and break the boxes behind it.

BONUS STAGE:

  • Follow the Wumpa Fruit past two sets of Nitro boxes. Jump onto metal boxes, break them, and proceed across more metal boxes and pits, collecting Wumpa Fruit. Bounce on boxes atop Nitro and reach the final platform. Jump to the ? Platform to return to the level.

PURPLE GEM PATH:

  • Jump to the next platform on the right and onto the metal box. Jump to the next platform, following Wumpa Fruit. Kill the rats to make a mushroom appear, then bounce on it to reach the next area.
