Think of it as your own private lobby where you and up to 5 friends can mess around without the pressure of ranked matches. It used to be called 'Kill Your Friends,' or KYF for short, and it's one of the three main ways to play the game. What's a Custom Game Lobby like? In a Custom Game, you can have: * 1 Killer: This has to be a player, no bots here! * 1 Survivor: This can be a player or a Bot. * Up to 3 more Survivors: These can be players, Bots, or a mix. * Up to 2 Spectators: They can watch from anyone's point of view, even the Killer's! What Can You Use? This is where Custom Games really shine. You get access to pretty much everything in the game, even if you haven't unlocked it normally: * All Add-ons: Yep, every single one! * All Items: Grab those Med-Kits, Flashlights, and Toolboxes! * All Offerings: Want to try a specific map? You can use an Offering for it. * All Perks: And the best part? They're all at Tier III! Keep in mind, while you get access to all the items and perks, you can only play with Characters you actually own. So, if you haven't bought a specific DLC Character, you won't be able to use them in a Custom Game. Maps Galore! Custom Games let you pick any Map in Dead by Daylight. The host can even disable DLC content if they want, but the Maps themselves are usually available. If no one uses a Map Offering, the game will pick one randomly, just like in regular matches. Special Rules for Custom Games There's a neat little twist in Custom Games: the number of Generators that spawn and how many Survivors need to repair them changes based on how many Survivors are actually in the Trial. It's a bit like when players used to disconnect before a match started in ranked games.
