Strategy:

The strategy here is pretty much the same as previous encounters with this guy. However, the Family Altar Room is a complicated space, making it tough to keep track of the priest as he likes to disappear. Your main focus should be on watching the filament on your Camera Obscura and locating him as quickly as possible. You'll likely be taking fireballs from him, but sometimes you won't even see where they're coming from. If you've upgraded your Blast lens, now's a good time to use it.

1. Start by grabbing the [Ceremony Master's Note 1] from the altar in the center of the room.
2. Head to the northeast path behind the altar. Look for and grab [Ceremoney Master's Note 4], which is glowing on a shelf.
3. In the northwest path, you'll find a [HERBAL MEDICINE].

Now, pay attention to the staircases. This room has three: two at the bottom that lead down, and one that goes up. For now, you need to take the southeast staircase down.
