Walkthrough
- 1After sliding down from the frozen lake, proceed down the path and through the ice cave. Drop down and look right to find a structure on the other side of the cliff containing the 1st Collectible, the Nethercutt Helmet, along some corpses.
- 2Head back to the tower entrance. As you approach the gate, turrets will activate. Use your Cloak (invisibility) ability and enter the room on the left to find a panel with 5 Components next to the entrance.
- 3Use your Shock trap ability on the generator located in the left room to deactivate the turrets. Then, go to the room on the right and do the same.
- 4Enter the gate to proceed. A construct named Niles will welcome you. Follow him to a room flooded with cryogenic gas. Head left and enter the door to find 1 Component inside a suitcase on the desk.
- 5Proceed through the next door to find a generator at the end of the path. Deactivate it and return to Niles.
- 6Once the cryo-jets (cryogenic gas emitters) are deactivated, explore the area. Go right and climb the ramp to a door. Kick it open and enter the room to find a panel with 5 Components and the 2nd Collectible, Subject Analysis: UL-119-2, on the desk to the right of the panel.
- 7Head back and follow Niles through some corridors to an area filled with cryo pods. Climb the ramp leading to a door and look right to find 1 Component on a desk opposite the door. Proceed to the next room.
- 8As you approach a capsule, a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) (story event) will trigger. After it ends, pick up the 3rd Collectible, Subject Analysis: TE-872-3, on the ground.
- 9Continue following Niles down the path to a room with a cryo turret. To deactivate it, cross the room. You can send Jack (your robot companion) to get 3 Components or use your Stim ability to traverse the room yourself. On the other side, use your Shock trap on the generator. Pick up the 4th Collectible, Lexigram Board, on the ground next to a corpse near the generator.
- 10Follow Niles through more corridors to a room with the device to help Kait. A cutscene will trigger. Warning: You will lose all weapons you are currently carrying.
- 11After the cutscene, run quickly to the lab to release a lockdown as facility defenses activate, releasing cryogenic gas. Dodge the cryo gas, grab a Pipe, kick open the door, and break the ice. Proceed through the room and interact with a body on a desk to release the lockdown and deactivate the cryo turrets. You can find 1 Component on a shelf to the right of the corpse and the 5th Collectible, Subject Analysis: EV-184-9, on a desk near the turret on the left side of the room.
- 12Proceed through the unlocked door and turn left to find the 6th and last Collectible, Sketchbook, on the ground. Slide down the path and open the door to proceed.
- 13Grab a Cryo canon and advance to the next area. Locust drones will attack. Use Jack to help you. After dealing with them, resupply your arsenal from weapons found in the area. Deactivate turrets and clear the area. Send Jack through the vents to open a door, leading to more Locust encounters. Finish them and advance.
- 14Destroy frozen Locust drones across a gap and send Jack to retrieve 5 Components.
- 15Proceed through the path to a room where Sires will break free. Be careful as they can grab you. The Pipe is a good weapon against them. Clear the area and open the door.
- 16Go right and advance to the next room where more Sires will engage. Kill them and crouch through the door in the left corner.
- 17Use Jack to hack the door. You will find weapons and ammo along the path. Proceed to the next room and find Niles. The Matriarch will appear.

Tips
- The Matriarch is blind and vulnerable to cold. Use Jack's ultimate Flash, Cryo canons, or shoot the ice where she stands to freeze her.
- Once frozen, get behind her and shoot her back.
- After dealing enough damage, Reyna will interfere, and the Matriarch will start throwing spikes. If she knows your location, she'll throw a single spike; otherwise, she'll throw spikes around the area. Tap the button to remove spikes if they hit you and dodge her charges.
- You can intentionally get hit by a spike to bait her charge. Shoot the ice before she reaches you to make her fall into the water. Repeat the process of shooting her back.
- When the Matriarch has about a third of her health remaining, Reyna will interfere again. She will now pounce instead of charging when she knows your location. Be careful as her landing can break the ice, causing you to fall into the water.
- After she freezes, get around her and shoot her back. Repeat this until Reyna messes with Kait's vision.
