Master Rank 5 in Golf With Your Friends! Learn about the new course, unlock VS opponents like Honghua and Shuri, master fishing with Kato, and defeat the boss Laura.

Welcome to Rank 5! This rank features a new, challenging course with strong winds and numerous water traps, making it more difficult than Kanaloa Beach. The golf level range for golfers in this rank is 7 to 11 with Serious Mode on. There are 90 golfers in this rank, each with their own golf level.

To unlock the VS opponents for this rank, you'll need to complete three 9-hole tourneys or one 18-hole and one 9-hole tourney. The first VS opponent is Honghua from China, a member of Team Sniper. She and Suzuki will discuss Rising Shots. This is also your third Stroke Format match. Beating her rewards you with her parts and voice over. After this, check your gallery for a Sexy VO, likely from a Rank 1 golfer. The other Grump VO will be obtained from a VS character encountered much later in the game.

You may encounter the second secret VS character, Shuri, who used to lead the EG Girls, if you have enough official birdies. She has a golf level of 10 and will provide a significant challenge. If you are confident, you can challenge her.

Continue winning tourneys to meet the fisherman Kato. Beating him unlocks fishing. Avoid the rough during this match, as it incurs a penalty but allows play to resume from the rough. Upon defeating Kato, you will receive his parts, voice over, the Type 7 swing, and unlock fishing. Follow the arrow to your first fishing spot, choose your rod and bait, and patiently wait for a bite. Reel in the fish when it sinks underwater; the tension gauge will rise as you do.

If you have achieved official eagles, you may meet the secret VS character Alice, a young girl in a unique outfit. She is more difficult than Kato. Beating her unlocks her parts, voice over, and the Body: Female 3.

Further tourney wins will lead you to the boss of this rank, Laura from the Netherlands, a member of Team Thwack who prioritizes power. Laura will discuss spin and use a Turbo Spin club. She will also inquire about your online activity. This match features a Teeny Cup on Long Tees. Winning against Laura rewards you with her parts, voice over, the Body: Female 5, the Vortex Valley course, and the Spiral Shot ability. To perform a Spiral Shot, execute a Super Sidespin; if it hits the pin, the ball will spiral into the cup for a chip-in, which requires practice.
