The Aspect of Hera loads your bloodstones into your weapon for joint use with your Attack. It requires less charge time than Aspect of Beowulf, operates from a safe distance, and combines Attack and Cast effects without dramatically overhauling Cast boon mechanics. While it offers less area-of-effect destructive potential than Naegling’s Board, the benefit of distance is significant.

To use the Aspect of Hera, load your bloodstones into your Attack and unleash a high-powered shot. The Cast boon you’ve gathered will confer either broad area-of-effect damage at the end of your shot (Dionysus, Poseidon, Athena, Ares w/ blade rifts, Zeus w/ chain lightning bounces) or high damage to a single target (Artemis, Aphrodite w/ smaller area-of-effect blast), effectively activating the cast at your arrow’s destination.

Crystal Beam is an exception, setting a pylon at the end of your shot. If using Blade Shot, aim in front of your target so blade rifts do not pass by enemies quickly (unless you have Hunting Blades).

The Aspect of Hera makes Cast boons viable by patching up their inherent limitations. Trippy Flare, Phalanx Shot, and Crush Shot are solid choices for their strong base damage and area-of-effect damage at the point of impact, helping with crowds. Phalanx Shot and Crush Shot also help unlock the Parting Shot Duo boon.
