Hey there! Let's talk about Whimstars in Infinity Nikki. These are super important collectibles you'll find all over the map. Some are out in the open, but others are a bit trickier to find. Don't worry, your buddy Momo will help you out! He'll give you a heads-up when a Whimstar is nearby with a notification box above his head. You can then press Up on the D-pad (or V on PC) to track its exact location.

You can't just grab every Whimstar you see, though. Some require you to complete a specific challenge first. These challenges can be things like time trials, hide and seek, or even little puzzle domains. Let's break down each type:

Hide and Seek Whimstars

If you spot a glowing yarn ball, usually on rooftops or umbrellas, head over to it. This will kick off a small search area. Your job is to find a hidden golden star within that area. Once you find it, the Whimstar will become available for you to collect.

Time Trial Whimstars

Keep an eye out for hollow Whimstars scattered around the map. To unlock these, you'll need to complete a time trial. This usually involves some platforming where you have to collect a set amount of stars before the timer runs out.

Curio Domain Whimstars

See any pink cubes while you're exploring? Approach one to enter a Curio Domain. Inside, you'll face a random puzzle. For example, you might need to guide a ball into a hole by moving nearby boxes. Solve the puzzle, and the Whimstar is yours!

What are Whimstars Used For?

So, why go through all this trouble? Whimstars are crucial for crafting outfits that have new abilities. These outfits are often necessary to progress the main story. You get the sketches for these outfits by visiting the Heart of Infinity and spending your hard-earned Whimstars. So, make sure you're always collecting them to keep your story progress smooth!
