Character Power: Power of Rage (Dex-Star)
Dex-Starr is a cat companion that can be called out using Atrocitus' character power. Many novice players find success with Atrocitus due to Dex-Starr's assistance, enabling easy zoning and powerful combinations. The moves available with Dex-Starr are: Blood Ball, Blood Wall, Hate Pounce, Crimson Red, Burn All, and Massacre.
- Blood Ball: Shoots a projectile with Dex-Starr. It has slow startup, active time, and recovery, but can be cast from the air for increased deadliness and zoning prowess.
- Blood Wall: A defensive move with good active and startup times, and excellent recovery. It can block opponent projectiles, allowing Atrocitus to follow up with Blood Ball or a melee combination.
- Hate Pounce: Dex-Starr launches at the opponent, dealing damage over time. Further testing is required for full details.
Specials:
- Rage Charge: A powerful move that can be meter burned for approximately 182.00 damage and can slightly OTG (off the ground) the opponent. It's effective for cornering opponents.
- Blood-Nado: A go-to special move that deals damage and always OTGs the opponent. It's considered a bread-and-butter move that can link into many other attacks.
- Napalm Vomit: An excellent chip damage move with short range. Using it sparingly is advised due to the risk of being comboed. It deals damage over time and can catch opponents off guard.
- Life Drain: A favorite move that drains life and looks great. It can silently defeat opponents and packs a punch when meter burned, causing an impulse attack if Atrocitus is glowing from draining enough blood. Meter burning this move also restores health if within range.
- The Butcher [supermove]: A supermove.

Atrocitus has several combinations, including Blood Tears (1,1), Heartless (1,1,1), Simple Betrayal, Five Inversions, Sector 666, Blood and Rage, Freshly Dead, Instrument of Vengeance, Empire of Tears, Return to Ysmault, Blood Ritual, and Blood Bath.
