Limitcut Preparations

Prepare for kingdom hearts iii's Limitcut bosses by reaching Level 99, obtaining Ultima Weapon, and farming Elixirs for 4000 Munny each.

Starting Preparations:

The amount of preparation needed depends on your chosen difficulty. While Beginner and Standard players might manage with lower levels, Proud and Critical players should aim for Level 99 to increase survivability. Even at Level 99, you will likely be in Critical HP after only a few hits.

Level 99:

To reach Level 99 efficiently, create a meal that grants the Exp Incentive Full Course Bonus. Two example meal combinations are provided:

• Option 1: Mushroom Terrine+, Pumpkin Velouté+, Eel Matelote, Beef Sauté, Chocolate Mousse+
• Option 2: Lobster Mousse+, Crab Bisque+, Bouillabaisse, Stuffed Quail+, Fresh Fruit Compote

Once you have the ingredients for one or two meals (each lasting 30 minutes), travel to Olympus via the Summit Warp Point. Equip Thundaga to a shortcut and proceed to the Realm of the Gods courtyard to find Battlegate 1. Use Thundaga to quickly defeat the enemies here. The Mickey Clasp accessory can make this process even faster. It is possible to go from around Level 50 to Level 99 in approximately 30-40 minutes using this method.

Ultima Weapon, Oblivion, Oathkeeper:

Obtaining the Ultima Weapon will significantly ease the difficulty of the Limitcut battles. If you haven't acquired it yet, now is the time. This involves a lengthy sidequest requiring seven specific rare materials:

• The Recipe: Obtainable by turning in 58 different Synthesis materials to a Moogle. Enemies in Scala Ad Caelum (from the Re Mind DLC (downloadable content — extra missions or items released after launch)) drop higher-tier materials, making this easier.
• Orichalcum+: There are only seven Orichalcum+ pieces available in the game, and you need all of them. They are found in:
  • A treasure chest in The Caribbean.
  • A treasure chest in The Final World.
  • As a random prize from Moogle Postcards.
  • As a reward from the Frozen Slider mini-game in Arendelle.
  • As a reward for photographing 80 Lucky Emblems.
  • As a reward for achieving the high score on all Flantastic Seven challenges.
  • As a reward for defeating Omega Machina (a Gummi Ship battle) in the Eclipse Galaxy.
• Other Materials: You will also need two Wellspring Gems, Pulsing Crystals, and Lucid Crystals. These can be found in Scala Ad Caelum or Battlegates.

The Ultima Weapon's Form Change into Ultimate Form provides invincibility frames and a longer Guard duration, which can help bypass certain boss mechanics.

If obtaining the Ultima Weapon seems too daunting, Oathkeeper and Oblivion are strong alternatives. To get Oathkeeper, finish the game and take the Proof of Promises to a Moogle Shop. To get Oblivion, finish the game on Critical Mode and take the Proof of Times Past to a Moogle Shop. Both are powerful Keyblades when fully upgraded, with useful Shotlocks and Finishers/Form changes that can rival Ultima Weapon.

Elixir Farming:

Stocking up on Elixirs is highly recommended for the Limitcut battles, unless you are on a Level 1 playthrough where Potions may suffice. Assign Elixirs to a shortcut for easy access.

You can synthesize Elixirs using the Moogle Shop. You will need three Wellspring Crystals, two Frost Gems, Sinister Stones, Sinister Shards, and Hungry Gems. Alternatively, Elixirs can be purchased for 4000 Munny each at the Moogle Shop.
