Chapter 8: Puppet-Devouring Green Monster

At Hotel Krat, talk to Polendina.

Talk to Belle twice.

Talk to Eugenie to get the Four-fingered Glove.

Talk to Venigni, choose "Talk", then "About Grand Covenant".

Talk to Giangio and choose "Give Gold Coin Fruit" to receive A cure for Antonia.

Warning: You will face an important choice regarding Antonia.

Talk to Polendina and choose "Use the cure" to obtain Radiant Ergo Fragment.

Talk to Geppetto.

At Cerasani Alley, Warning: You will lose access to the Traveling Merchant soon, so buy any remaining starter weapons.

At Barren Swamp Entrance, follow the path and beware of a sniper behind a carriage.

Open the chest to obtain Belford Superior Insulation Converter.

Note: Watch out for bear traps.

Continue past a poisonous pool until a boulder is rolled at you; defeat the Clown Puppet to get Legion Caliber.

Note: The Clown Puppet performs charge attacks.

Cross the small bridge and enter the tower. Pull the lever to open a shortcut to the stargazer.

Climb the ladder to the top of the tower and open the chest to obtain Recharged Amulet.

Talk to Alidoro twice, choosing "Talk" then "About Eugenie's gloves".

Talk to Alidoro and buy Frozen Feast.

Note: Buying Frozen Feast here allows you to get Red Fox's Apparel and a Quartz.

Return to Hotel Krat and talk to Eugenie. Choose "He was happy" to get Fire Abrasive.

Note: For the "Free From the Puppet String" ending, choose "He was angry. He said the gloves were rubbish."

Go back to Barren Swamp Entrance. Continue past Alidoro to a large area and watch for traps.

Rush to the top of the tower to eliminate the sniper and destroy the ballista.

Open the chest to obtain Live Puppet's Axe.

Go back down and follow the stream to a tunnel, then repair the Stargazer.

At Barren Swamp, talk to Broken Puppet twice. Choose "Teach about sadness" to get Attribute Resistance Ampoule.

Talk to Broken Puppet again. Choose "Teach how to clap" to get Radiant Ergo Fragment.

Look for a path on the left going up a hill to a large canyon. Cross to the other side using the structures.

Go down the plank and attempt to open the door; you will need to go around to unlock the Stargazer on the other side.

Go down two ladders, cross the rope bridge, go through a building, climb the ladder, and continue up the ramp. Repair the Stargazer.

At Barren Swamp Ravine, press the button to open a shortcut.

Go back down the ramp and ladder. Before the tunnel, cross a narrow walkway carefully, avoiding ambushes.

Open the chest to obtain Legion Caliber.

Enter the tunnel and dodge boulders.

Note: Dimensional Butterflies here drop Advance Crank, Half Moonstone x2.

Search an alcove for a chest guarded by a Carcass Bear and obtain Arch Disruption Cartridge.

Note: You can activate the shortcut and return later if you dislike fighting bears.

Press the button to lower the shortcut ladder. Check the nearby shack for a chest containing City Longspear.

Continue up the path and prepare to fight the Giant Demon Baby. Defeat it to get Leaping Amulet and Dark moon Moonstone of the Covenant.

Note: This boss is not officially named Giant Demon Baby.

Climb the ladder and destroy the ballista.

Backtrack to the bottom of the tower and pull the chain to open the gate.

Note: Multiple Dimensional Butterflies in this area drop Dark moon Moonstone of the Covenant, Alchemical Booster, Stabilized Alchemical Booster, Balance Crank.

Defeat Puppet of the Future x2 to get Quartz x2.

Check behind the tower for a chest containing Fancy Venigni Collection.

Go up a ramp to a small wooden building. Search the luggage for Experimental Report of Order - Test Subject 890.

Go down the ladder and talk to the Owl Doctor. Defeat the Owl Doctor to get Owl Doctor's Mask.

Return to the top of the tower and cross bridges until an earthquake occurs. Repair the Stargazer.

At Barren Swamp Bridge, search the ground for Sentry's Notebook.

Talk to Rookie Explorer Hugo twice. Choose "Talk", then "About Alidoro", then "Talk", then "About recent rumors" to get Wanted: Alidoro.

Talk to Rookie Explorer Hugo again. Choose "Talk", then "About the discovered treasure" to get Old Cryptic Vessel.

At Hotel Krat, talk to Antonia.

Talk to Pulcinella. Choose "Add shop goods", then "Hand over Fancy Venigni Collection" to get Dim Ergo Chunk.

Talk to Venigni. Choose "Decipher the Cryptic Vessel", then "Hand over the Old Cryptic Vessel" to get Old Cryptic Vessel Decrypti.
