Your guide to Marathon Infinity's 'You Think You're Big Time? You're Gonna Die Big Time!' level. Learn about Tycho's arena, enemy waves, and how to find secrets.
So, Tycho's decided to throw you into a Pfhor arena, huh? Don't worry, this level, 'You Think You're Big Time? You're Gonna Die Big Time!', is the second-to-last one in Marathon Infinity, and it's a real test. You'll start descending on a platform that's headed straight for the lava in the center. The arena's got some goodies though: 2X shield canisters, Rocket Launchers, SMGs and ammo scattered around. You'll also find a Pattern Buffer, a 3X recharger, and a Terminal in the first room you can access. Listen up, because this is important: some of Tfear's personal guards are here, and they're coming in waves. The first wave hits right away. You'll face two 'super' Fighters – these guys are way faster and shoot more than the ones you're used to. After them, it's 'super' Troopers, similar to the regular ones but tougher. Then come the Hunters. Their plasma bolts are guided, meaning they'll actually follow you around the arena. Dodging them is tough since the arena's round and they won't hit walls. Once they're down, if you go back to where they spawned, a Juggernaut Major might pop out. Honestly, you might want to just leave it alone; it's a real pain to kill. Hit the switch in that same room, and gates will open to the upper ledges. Up there, you'll find two more terminals and another Pattern Buffer. There are 12 purple Fighters spread across the four quarters of the arena on these ledges. The last terminal you find will either send you to the final level, 'Aye Mak Sicur', or to a special room if you collect all the Uplink Chips and put them in the slots. You'll know you've got them all when the end terminal changes. ### Tips * Fighters: Just unload your SMG on them and keep them at bay by shooting near their feet with your SPNKR. * Troopers: They're not much different from regular troopers, just hit harder. Keep your distance. * Hunters: Circle the lava pit to dodge their guided plasma bolts. Grab health canisters if you need them, but be warned: most of those projectiles WILL hit you. * Uplink Chips: To get these, finish off enemies with your SMG. If you kill them with explosions or the Zeus Class Fusion Pistol (especially the Hunters), they won't drop a chip. You need these chips for the special ammo room and the path to the final level. ### Secrets Honestly, there aren't really any secrets here, unless you count that ammo-filled room as one. But hey, if you're feeling brave, you can try a rocket-jump to get up to those ledges, skipping all the fights. Just be careful with that!100% Human-Written. AI Fact-Checked. Community Verified.
