Activate the console to view the Research Mission "Snapping up Smog".

Move through 8 dark clouds (labeled on the minimap (a small radar (your minimap with nearby blips and threats marked) in the corner of your HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap)) as green clouds) to obtain samples. You can do this by jumping, swinging, or falling.

Once you have eight samples, trace the pollution back to its source.

Markers on the screen will lead you to the pollution sources: two vehicles and a smoke stack.

Once in range of a pollution source, pull out your camera (press Up on the D-pad), aim, and take a picture (press R2 then R1).

Repeat for all three pollution sources.
