b. In Levels

Learn how to navigate menus, use buttons like Start, Select, A, B, X, Y, and understand the Evolution system in Metal Eden with our comprehensive guide.

This section details the controls and the evolution system in Metal Eden.

The D-pad allows you to walk left and right. Tap either direction twice to run. Use Up and Down to navigate the pause menu.

Start and Select buttons: Press Start to pause the game without a menu. Press Select to bring up the main menu, which includes options for Evolution, Capability, Record of Evolution, and Review of Evolution.

  • Evolution: Access a sub-menu to evolve specific body parts like Jaws, Horns, Neck, Body, Hands & Feet, Dorsal Fin, Tail, and Back of the Head. The 'Do Not Evolve' option is also present. Each evolution has an EP cost, and you need sufficient EP to evolve. EP is gained by eating enemy meat or certain crystals.
  • Capability: View your current monster's statistics, attributes, and a picture.
  • Record of Evolution: Save preferred evolved forms of your monster. You can name them and store up to 50. This is particularly useful for forms derived from red crystals, which are temporary.
  • Review of Evolution: If you've eaten a green crystal, you can temporarily transform into a saved monster from the Record of Evolution.

A, B, X, and Y Buttons:

  • B: Jump. Higher jumps can be achieved by evolving your tail.
  • Y: Bite attack. Humanoid creatures use a club instead.
  • X: Consume vegetation. Press Down and X simultaneously with a long neck to eat ground-level plants or small organisms. This function is not available for human and sub-human forms.

Items

Crystals

  • Yellow Crystal: Found early in most time periods, eating this crystal provides a tip about the current chapter and advice on efficient evolution.
  • Green Crystal: Allows temporary transformation into a recorded monster from the Record of Evolution after consumption.
  • Red Crystal: Volatile and powerful, consuming this transforms you into a significantly stronger creature for about two minutes. These forms are often memorable and worth saving to the Record of Evolution.
  • Blue Crystal: The rarest crystal, it grants a large amount of Evolution Points (at least 5000 EP), allowing for extensive evolutionary upgrades.

Edibles

  • Meat/Flashing Meat: Dropped by defeated enemies, this meat provides EP. The amount of LP (Life Points) gained decreases with higher defensive capabilities. Flashing green meat indicates a better version of normal meat, typically yielding at least double the EP.

BOSS: KURASELACHE, KING OF THE SEA

Master the Kuraselache boss fight in Metal Eden. Learn his attack patterns, exploit his weakness to walls, and claim your massive rewards.

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Weakness: His own hastiness; can be stunned by charging into walls.
  • Damage per charge: 13 LP.

Phases:

  1. Initial Conversation: Kuraselache will speak to you. Do not let this distract you from his impending attack.
  2. Attack Mode: Kuraselache enters his attack mode immediately after the conversation. He will charge at the player, dealing 13 LP of damage per hit.
  3. Stun and Attack: The player can trick Kuraselache into charging into walls. This will stun him temporarily, allowing for attacks.

Strategy:

  • Position yourself in front of a wall when Kuraselache charges. He will hit the wall and be stunned.
  • After he is stunned, move in to attack him, aiming for two bites (attacks).
  • Maneuver to a diagonal angle from Kuraselache.
  • Anticipate his lunges and move to another diagonal angle to make him charge into the wall again.
  • Repeat this process of luring him into walls and attacking until he is defeated.
  • Defeating Kuraselache yields enormous meat products.
  • Each meat product grants 250 EP and 16 LP.

Guide to evolving into an amphibian in Metal Eden. Learn how to navigate the Coast of Pange, Ocean of Pange, and various land stages to gain EP and new abilities.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Coast of Pange: Press Up and B simultaneously to leap from the water. You will evolve into a creature with feet and enter the Land Age. Gaia will bestow upon you the body of an Amphibian, allowing travel on both land and water. You will lose Evolution Points (EP) but gain access to the Time-Trans.
  2. 2
Early Creatures Of Land (300-230 Million B.C.) - Coast of Pange continued: Skip hermit crabs. Interact with the yellow orb for pointers on surviving the Land Age. Evolving your tail increases jumping ability and life points. Move left to the Ocean of Pange.
  3. 3
Ocean of Pange: Jump into the water to evolve body parts for swimming. Avoid Coelafish. Swim to the right and jump to land. You will evolve back into a slow land monster. Leave and go to the new level that results from conquering this stage.
  4. 4
Land of timid Ikustega: Bite the timid Ikustega once to make them run away. Head to the right and proceed to the Land of bull Ikustega.
  5. 5
Land of bull Ikustega: Bull Ikustega are better meals, giving 10 EP each and can be felled with repeated biting. Aim to get the Power Tail (100 EP) to increase jumping ability. With the Power Tail, bite dragonflies once to ground them, then bite again for 30 EP each. Accumulate EP to reach 500. Go to the Evolution menu and get Tusking Jaws to defeat enemies in one hit. Also, get a back-of-the-head body part like the Jeprol (300 EP) to increase biting power.
  6. 6
Land of Amphibians: This area contains bull Ikustega and head-butters (giving the same EP as dragonflies). Move from Point A to Point B, collecting EP. Ensure you have 500 EP and morph to the Mottle Body to prepare for the Boss Ikustega.
  7. 7
Land of Boss Ikustega: (This section is incomplete in the source text).
Tips
  • Evolving your tail in the Land Age increases jumping ability and life points.
  • Bull Ikustega give 10 EP, while dragonflies give 30 EP after obtaining the Power Tail.

  • The Jeprol is a back-of-the-head upgrade that increases biting power.
  • The Mottle Body is recommended for defeating the Boss Ikustega.
  • Pay attention to the day/night cycle for nighttime EP opportunities.
Gaia bestows the body of an Amphibian, allowing travel on land and water, and opens up the Time-Trans. Further EP accumulation leads to new body parts and abilities. The Mottle Body is obtained before facing the Boss Ikustega.
