Learn the Bird-King's attack patterns and exploit his weaknesses to defeat him quickly in Metal Eden. Get tips on evolving your neck for easy healing!
Stats / Weaknesses:
- Boss: Bird-King
- Weakness: Close-range biting when cornered.
- Attack: Flashing neon spheres (high damage).
Phases:
- The Bird-King will zigzag around the arena, firing neon spheres.
- If you manage to corner him, he'll attempt to escape, but you can get in several bites before he does.
Strategy:
- When you first encounter the Bird-King, you'll be given a choice to join his civilization or fight him. To fight him, choose 'No'. Choosing 'Yes' leads to a hollow ending where you'll have to redo the Fort Bird-Man levels.
- The Bird-King's main attack is his neon spheres, which deal significant damage. The key to this fight is to corner him.
- Once you've cornered the Bird-King, repeatedly bite him. He can escape, but you'll land about five or six bites before he gets away.
- If you find your life (LP) running low, don't panic! The Bird-King is one of the tougher bosses, but you can easily heal. Evolving your neck is the cheapest way to restore all your LP (cost: 200 LP). You should have enough points by now to evolve it multiple times.
- Keep biting him whenever you get the chance and use your neck evolution for healing. This strategy should take him down in mere moments.
- After defeating the Bird-King, he'll drop prime meat cuts. Head to the teleporter on the right side of the arena to escape the collapsing fortress.
- Once you're back on the map, the only level left to conquer is the Domain of Hynodon. The explosion from the Bird-Man Fort has cleared the icy monolith that previously blocked the cave entrance on the far left.
- Inside the Domain of Hynodon, you'll encounter a small yeti. He'll question your evolution, and regardless of your dialogue choice ('Is something wrong' or 'I stopped evolving'), a battle will begin.
