MPH: The New York Champ: Kareem Windross

The race starts with Kareem running along the freeway. Get slightly ahead and let him catch up. Once he's aware of you, he'll turn into the city, making him easier to follow.

Stick close to Kareem. When he stops, the real race begins.

Car Choice: The PDQ ARi is recommended, but the J450 or Larry's 3rd vehicle (a truck) are also viable options.

Nitro Strategy (PDQ ARi): Use one nitro at about 30 MPH and another at 60 MPH. Let Kareem push you until the first turn.

Take the first turn hard and fast, using nitro to exit. You should have two nitrous left.

Follow Kareem's path, avoiding the fountain. You should be slightly ahead of Kareem and Kieko.

When you reach the light requiring a U-turn onto the freeway, use nitro to gain distance.

Speed up the freeway, watching out for Emilio, who drives recklessly. He may sometimes crash into Kareem.

Navigate the last few lights carefully; it's easy to get disoriented. Have a clear idea of the route.

Use your last nitro after passing the final light and cruise to the finish.

Alternative Strategy (J450): Don't use nitro at the start. Follow Kareem. Aim for the stoplight post on the inner corner of a turn, brake to about 106 MPH, and crash into the wall to pass Kieko easily. Use 2 nitros when Kareem slows down before a V-turn. Use the handbrake (Circle button) for a slide turn near the tunnel, then use another nitro. Hit Kareem from behind at the next turn to send him off course.

Alternative Strategy (Inferno's J450): Use a nitro at 30 MPH and another at 60 MPH. Bomb downtown at 140 MPH, watching for Kieko and Kareem. Near Battery Park, prepare for a hard turn onto West Drive, getting the checkpoint on the right. Use another nitro to reach 140 MPH. You can hit Kareem when he approaches. Handbrake turn at the top and use the last nitro. Be careful at intersections.

Alternative Strategy (Tiger3986's J450): Hit nitro immediately at the start, then another right after. Once ahead of Kareem, stay in the adjacent lane. When he turns, bash him to send him off course. Follow Emilio's path. Later, line up Kareem and bash him again. Use a nitro to speed up. Use the handbrake for the last sharp turn.
