Navigate Underground Mode in Need for Speed Underground. Learn about difficulty settings, credit earnings, and magazine cover unlocks.
Walkthrough
- 1Play most challenges in Underground Mode at Medium Difficulty until the last twenty races to accumulate credits for upgrades.
- 2Consider playing some challenges on Easy Difficulty if they require luck and multiple attempts.
- 3Be aware that frequent part or car swaps can deplete credits quickly.
- 4Play on Hard Difficulty for increased credit earnings.
- 5Understand that once all 112 challenges are completed, your current car cannot be modified further; however, customizations for quick races do not require credits if parts are unlocked.
- 6To unlock magazine covers, play Underground Mode on Hard Difficulty.
- 7Some magazine covers require beating specific best times/scores in Career Mode.
- 8Once a cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) is earned, you can attempt other challenges of that type on any difficulty.
Tips
- Bonus cars unlocked via Style Rewards cannot be used in Underground Mode, only vinyls.
- Refer to the Best Times/Scores section for a complete list of track records needed to earn magazine covers no. 20 - 23.
- Customizations for quick races do not require credits if parts are already unlocked.
