Windswept Wastes

Enter Windswept Wastes from Silent Woods. Use the second Spirit Well and proceed to where Shriek attacked you. Head southeast, pass through spikes, and find a Combat Shrine and a Spirit Orb in the right corner.

After completing the Combat Shrine, return to the hot air area, platform upwards, and glide right.

Drop down and advance past a ball of sand to reach the Feeding Grounds.

Proceed until you encounter Shriek again. Hide behind obstacles: first, inside the skeleton ahead, then quickly advance and use the grappling hook on the platform. Use the hot air, climb the wooden pole, and wait behind the tent piece. Jump to the platform, use the grappling hook, and then jump left and head east, over platforms and a rock, into a cave to escape. You will find a Spirit Well.

Head east, use the grappling hook on the carnivore plant above, and jump to proceed.

At a broken bridge, a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) will trigger. Jump on the broken pieces and find a Spirit Orb ahead.

Jump down and use the grappling hook over spikes to land on a sand platform. Walk across it and find a Gorlek Ore.

Jump off the sand platform; you will see a shovel in the sand below.

Proceed east to a sand platform with a spiked Slime. The Slime will fall onto spikes when the platform is destroyed. Advance and defeat the Mantis enemies. Wall climb upwards and head east.

Pass below a big cauldron quickly as sand will fall, then use a carnivorous flower to jump over spikes.

Proceed upwards on the bridge and head east. Near a billboard, find a spot with sand on the ground.

Fall there and open the passage on the left. Drop into the spiked area and land on the left corner of the screen to find a hidden area with a Life Cell Fragment.

Use the flowers to go east. At a wooden structure, use the grappling hook on the blue moss to find a Spirit Orb in the top left corner.

Return to the billboard after the bridge and keep right. Wall jump platforms to reach a lever in the northwest. You can now use the sand platform.

From the sand platform, jump to the area above. Destroy sand barriers so projectiles break a wall, allowing you to pass and reach the Spirit Shard.

Head west, use carnivore flowers to go upwards. On the third flower, jump right to get a Spirit Orb. Jump from the last flower and glide over spikes.

Ahead, there is a hive and a path upwards. Wall jump carefully as sand will fall. Use a flower to reach the top. Drop onto the sand to find the Gorlek Miner, who is part of the Hand to Hand Quest and needs water.

Proceed west to find the Spirit Tree. Absorb its light to gain the ability to burrow through sand. Explore the area to the right of the tree to find a Spirit Orb.

Burrow through the path on the left. When you burst out, you will find a pedestal to activate the Spirit Trial.

Head back and burst out of the sandball to reach upwards. Find Lupo, who will sell you the map of Windswept Wastes for 300 Spirit Light.

Jump from the wall to reach Lupo's location.

Go back to the area with the hive. Proceed west through the sand to find a Spirit Orb. Going downwards leads to a shortcut to the area's beginning.

Head northeast through the sand, then go upwards to find an Energy Cell Fragment.

Proceed east and find a Spirit Orb on a tree.

Advance to a wooden pole and jump right to find another Spirit Orb.

Burrow through the sand and go downwards. You will see an opening on your left containing a Life Cell Fragment. Descend further and go west to reach the area with the lever you pulled before.

Head northeast through the sand to a wooden platform with a sandball hanging above. Burst out of the sand and break the wall on the right to find a Gorlek Ore.

Drop down and go east to find Tokk. Talk to him to receive the quest A Diamond in the Rough and a request to search for something precious near the shovel. Advance to find a Spirit Well.

Head back to the previous Spirit Well to begin completing the area. Go west and burrow through the sand to reach the Feeding Grounds. Go downwards before Shriek sees you. Inside the sand, go right to find a hidden room. Jump on the wall, then destroy the sand platform to go upwards and get a Spirit Orb.

Head back to the Spirit Well and proceed east. Burrow through the first sand area to find a Gorlek Ore.

Keep east to return to the broken bridge. Burrow through the sand to find the Spirit Trial start and a purple cracked wall. Lure the torpedo then bash it.
