One of the first gadgets you'll get to play with is the Scout Launcher. Think of it as your trusty little drone buddy that helps you see what's ahead, especially when things get a bit... invisible.

Why you need it: Your Scout Launcher is super important for spotting things you can't normally see. The most crucial use early on is detecting ghost matter. This stuff is invisible and will instantly burn you to a crisp if you get too close, so having a way to find it is a lifesaver. It's also handy for scouting out areas before you commit to going in yourself.

How to use it:

1. Get the Launcher: You'll learn about the Scout Launcher when you talk to Arkose. He'll explain that you can use it to detect ghost matter.
2. Launch your Scout: Once you have it, you'll be able to launch a scout. This little guy will fly out and can be controlled remotely for a bit.
3. Detect Ghost Matter: When you launch a scout, it can reveal invisible hazards like ghost matter. If you see ghost matter, your scout will show you where it is, so you know to steer clear.
4. Practice with Mica: For some hands-on experience, you can pilot a miniature spaceship down to some landing pads. This is great practice for controlling your ship and getting a feel for navigation before you head into space.
