1. Locate the Morphogenic Engine Chamber Maintenance Schedule, detailing the daily inspection of Vital Systems: Life Support Fluid Reservoir (enriched oxygenated perfluorocarbon), Sublab Generator (hourly confirmation), and the Life Pod Failsafe (engages in case of catastrophic loss of Vital Systems 1 and 2). Disabling the Failsafe results in immediate patient termination.
2. Find Document #30: THE MODERN PROMETHEUS, an excerpt from Mary Shelley's 1818 novel, warning about the dangers of acquiring knowledge beyond one's nature.
3. Discover Document #31: PERMISSION TO PROCEED, a signed form from patient William Hope of the Murkoff Charitable Psychiatry program at Mount Massive Hospital. Hope is unaware of his mother's cardiac arrest and believes his participation is for financial remuneration and a charitable contribution. Dr. Wernicke sees therapeutic potential in him.
4. Collect NOTE #1: MOUNT MASSIVE ASYLUM, detailing the asylum's shutdown in 1971 amid scandal and its 2009 reopening by Murkoff Psychiatric Systems, disguised as a charity. Cell phone reception is jammed a mile out.
5. Find NOTE #2: I'M INSIDE, describing the horrific scene of bodies, blood, burn marks, dead Murkoff scientists from
