How to Capture and Breed Shadowbeak: To Palworld

Find Shadowbeak at palworld's No.3 Wildlife Sanctuary or breed it using Kitsun and Astegon. Astegon drops Pure Quartz and Pal Metal Ingots.

Location: Shadowbeak can be found in the No.3 Wildlife Sanctuary, an island northeast of the Dessicated Desert. Be aware that this area is considered trespassing, and you will be attacked on sight by the PDIF if caught. Killing PDIF members will result in a wanted level (the star icons in the top-right showing how aggressively police pursue you), similar to other crime systems, which can be buggy and follow you into the sea. Leaving the area or returning to base may remove the wanted status, but a relog might be necessary.

Shadowbeak spawns day or night and is a rare spawn. While waiting for it to appear, you can capture or kill other Pals in the area such as Faleris, Blazamut, Astegon, and Orzerk. Defeating or capturing Astegon will yield Pure Quartz and Pal Metal Ingots, both essential for late-game recipes. Astegon is also one of the Pals required to breed Shadowbeak.

How to Breed Shadowbeak:

1. To breed Shadowbeak, you need to pair a Kitsun with an Astegon.
2. Ensure you have a breeding farm, an Egg Incubator, and two Pals (male and female) of the required species.
3. Prepare cake using the Cake Guide if needed.

Kitsun can be found in the Frostbound Mountains during the night. Although it inhabits a cold area, Kitsun is a fire-based Pal and is weak to water. Bring a water-based Pal to lower its health before capturing. The Frostbound Mountains area is cold, so wear cold-resistant armor and a Thermal Undershirt if available.
