Discover Lucky Pals in Palworld, a rare variant with boosted stats and unique skills. Learn how to find them, their spawn locations, and breeding mechanics.

Lucky Pals are Palworld's equivalent of shiny Pokémon, but with significant gameplay advantages. They possess the 'Lucky' trait, granting a 15% boost to both work speed and attack. Additionally, they come with a randomized active skill and higher base stats than regular Pals of the same type and level. Their catch rate is lower, similar to Alpha Pals, making them a more valuable acquisition. Be prepared for a tougher challenge when trying to catch them due to their enhanced stats.

Upon catching a Lucky Pal, you'll receive Ancient Parts, an item typically obtained only from defeating bosses and Alpha Pals. Unfortunately, Lucky Pals despawn if not caught, so it's advisable to always carry a surplus of Pal Spheres when hunting for them.

How to Find a Lucky Pal

Lucky Pals are noticeably larger than their standard counterparts, approximately double the size. They are distinguished by a constant sparkling visual effect and an accompanying audible sparkling noise, which helps set them apart. Once in your Palbox, they are marked with sparkles for easy identification.

Lucky Pal Spawn Locations

Lucky Pals can appear anywhere Pals normally spawn, including dungeons, raids, and even wandering into your base. Their appearance is entirely dependent on Random Number Generation (RNG), meaning no specific area has a higher chance of spawning them. Player experiences vary widely, with some finding their first Lucky Pal after around ten hours of gameplay, while others took up to 30 hours. It's generally accepted that they are incredibly rare.

To expedite the process, you can repeatedly load areas using a teleporter to force new Pal spawns. This is the fastest method to encounter a Lucky Pal. Note that Alpha Pals cannot be Lucky Pals, and Pals not found wandering in the wild have no chance of being a Lucky variant. Specific Pals like Paladius, Necromus, Frostallion, Frostallion Noct, and Jetragon, along with Tower bosses, cannot currently be found as Lucky Pals in the wild.

Can You Breed For Lucky Pals?

Yes, you can breed existing Lucky Pals to increase your chances of obtaining another, though hatching one is not guaranteed. Breeding two different Lucky Pals together enhances the probability of the offspring being Lucky. However, this method has limitations on which Lucky Pals can be bred. Bred Lucky Pals will be regular-sized but identifiable by a lucky mark next to their stats, which may be a bug. It is also possible, though unconfirmed by players, to hatch a Lucky Pal from any egg, including those from large or huge eggs, which significantly increases the time investment required for incubation. Currently, no players have reported hatching a Lucky Pal from any type of egg, despite extensive community breeding efforts. It is theorized that any Pal could potentially inherit the Lucky Trait through breeding with enough time and patience.
