• Required Pikmin: Rock Pikmin are essential for breaking the tail.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Tail Break: Your primary goal is to break the Armored Mawdad's tail. Use Rock Pikmin to attack it. You don't need to gather every Pikmin immediately; focus on the task at hand.
2. Phase 2: Tail Charge: Once the tail is broken, wait for the Mawdad to stop moving. Then, use your Pikmin to charge its tail.
3. Phase 3: Ceiling Climb: When the Mawdad climbs onto the ceiling, pay close attention to the falling wood chippings. Use them to predict the boss's movement and position your Pikmin accordingly.

Strategy:

• Don't feel pressured to collect every stray Pikmin at the start. Focus on getting Rock Pikmin to the boss.
• Attack the tail whenever it's vulnerable. Pre-emptively throwing Pikmin onto the tail while the Mawdad is moving can also be effective.
• When the boss is on the ceiling, watch the debris falling from above. This will give you a clear indication of where it's heading.
• After breaking the tail, wait for the Mawdad to pause before initiating a charge on its tail. This maximizes your damage output.
