Learn how to beat the Plasm Wraith in Pikmin 3 Deluxe! Get tips on timing, Pikmin types, and dodging attacks to earn the Platinum Medal.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Preparation
   As soon as the mission starts, assign your spare captains to unplucked Pikmin. This saves precious time later.
2. Phase 2: Dodging and Attacking
   The Plasm Wraith has several dangerous attacks. When it fluffs up its body, it's about to use a piercing attack – this is your cue to move away. After dodging, charge in to attack.
3. Phase 3: Elemental Attacks
   The Wraith will start throwing elemental blobs (fire, ice, etc.). Immediately deploy the correct Pikmin type to counter each element. Red Pikmin for fire, etc. While your Pikmin are engaged with the blobs, focus on luring the Wraith away from them. The Pikmin on the core will also help clear the gloop.
4. Phase 4: Dealing with Obstacles
   Be aware that crystal cubes can appear and be a significant time sink. The overall time is heavily dependent on what attacks the boss chooses.

Strategy:

• Prioritize dodging the Plasm Wraith's attacks, especially its piercing move.
• Quickly switch to the correct Pikmin type when it throws elemental blobs.
• Use your spare captains to gather unplucked Pikmin at the start to maximize your Pikmin count.
• Don't get discouraged if you don't get the Platinum Medal on your first try; the boss's attack patterns can vary, and luck plays a role. Play it a few times to get a feel for its movements and attacks.
• Keep moving! Standing still makes you an easy target for its various gloop and blob attacks.
