To gain experience quickly, seek out Audino found in shaking grass. Audino commonly appear in shaking grass patches and provide a substantial 390 base EXP, even with a level difference of up to 10 levels. To find shaking grass, run or bike near normal grass patches and wait for a patch to shake, then enter it. Using a Repel can help you reach shaking grass patches without unwanted encounters, but it won't prevent encounters once you step into the shaking patch.

Construct a varied team, ideally with six Pokemon, as this often leads to a more enjoyable experience and is feasible with the EXP available. Using at least three or four Pokemon is recommended for the best time, unless you prefer a faster playthrough.

Ensure your Pokemon have diverse movepools to take advantage of the type chart. Give each Pokemon moves that can hit a variety of opponents. For example, avoid a moveset solely focused on one type; instead, mix offensive and utility moves.

Play to your Pokemon's individual stats. Use physical moves for Pokemon with high base attack (like Darmanitan's 140) and special moves for those with high base special attack (like Chandelure's 145). Mixed attacking sets are viable for Pokemon with balanced offensive stats.

Always carry Poké Balls to catch shiny Pokemon, which have a rare 1/8192 chance of appearing. Running out of Poké Balls means you might be forced to defeat a shiny Pokemon. Carry Repels, especially in caves, as wild encounter rates can be overwhelming. Super Repels offer the best value for money versus steps.

Avoid becoming significantly overleveled, as this can make the game too easy and diminish enjoyment.

Include at least one status move on your team, such as Thunder Wave or Sleep Powder, to make catching tougher wild Pokemon easier.

When you obtain the Lucky Egg midway through the game, transfer it among your Pokemon to maximize experience gains from battles.

Consider adjusting your device's calendar to change seasons or speed up daily events. To advance daily events, set the time to 23:59 and allow the day to roll over naturally.

While not strictly necessary, aim for Pokemon natures that do not hinder your Pokemon's key stats, and consider speed-boosting natures to enhance performance.
