Elika In Platforming

Alright, so you've probably noticed the Prince is pretty nimble on his own, but sometimes, even he needs a little help from Elika to get around. Don't worry, she's got some neat tricks up her sleeve that make platforming way easier. Think of her as your trusty co-pilot for all things vertical!

The first big way Elika helps is with the double jump. You know how you can jump once? Well, after that first leap, keep an eye on the screen. When it starts to get that black and white tint, that's your cue! Hit the Triangle button again right after your initial jump, and Elika will give you a boost, lifting you up for a second jump. It’s super important for reaching those higher ledges or crossing wider gaps.

Now, there's something else Elika does that’s not strictly about jumping, but it’s pretty cool and can be useful. Sometimes, you and Elika might end up on the same grab ledge. If you move towards her on that ledge, you'll actually switch places! This might come in handy if you need to be in a specific spot. Also, when the Prince pulls himself up to a new ledge, he'll often grab Elika's hand to help her up too. If you're holding onto the ledge, just push left or right on the Left Analog Stick, and the Prince will toss her up so she can grab the ledge herself. It’s a neat little animation, but it’s how she gets up there with you.

Finally, here’s a cute little detail: if you drop down from a ledge, and you don't move the analog stick at all, the Prince will automatically catch Elika when she drops down after you. It’s a small thing, but it shows how they work together. Keep an eye on these moments, and you'll get the hang of using Elika's help in no time!
