Challenge Mode

Ready for a tougher Ratchet & Clank (2016) experience? Challenge Mode ups the ante! Learn about Omega Weapons, Bolt Multipliers, and tougher enemies.

Alright, so you've beaten the game once, huh? Awesome! Now it's time to dive into Challenge Mode. Think of it as Ratchet & Clank's New Game+, accessible right from the main menu. Most of your gear and upgrades will carry over, but don't get too comfortable – the enemies are way tougher this time around, hitting harder and having more health.

But hey, it's not all doom and gloom! Challenge Mode unlocks two super cool things that will make your second playthrough even better. First off, once any weapon hits level 5, it'll transform into a new form, usually gaining some awesome extra abilities. Plus, if you've got the right Holocard set for that weapon type, you can grab its Omega variant in Challenge Mode. This lets you level that weapon all the way up to 10 and unlocks new upgrade paths, so you can finally use up all that Raritanium you've been hoarding.

The other big perk is the Bolt Multiplier. As you rack up kills, you'll see a multiplier next to your bolts in the top right corner, going all the way up to x20! The catch? Getting hit by an enemy resets that multiplier right back to zero, so you'll have to be extra careful and keep those combos going.
