Master the hoverboard races on Planet Rilgar! Learn how to boost, navigate tricky courses, and win the RYNO Holocard in Ratchet & Clank (2016).

Alright, so after we get back to the ship on Planet Rilgar, there's another path you can take. Keep an eye out for these new enemies called Extermibots – they look like they're wearing hazmat suits and toss these explosive things like Fusion Grenades. Just keep strafing left and right to dodge their attacks. You'll also see some Amoeboids, but that's about it for enemies on this stretch. Follow the path until you find a floating platform with a switch. Hit it to open up a big barrier, leading to an area where Extermibots and Amoeboids are duking it out. There's even a big tank there that'll help clear out the Amoeboids! Once the fight's over, look for a small alcove with another switch. This one spawns some Swingshot targets that'll lead you to a ledge where you can grab some Raritanium.

Now, there's another path with an elevator. Be careful, some Extermibots will surprise you on the way up! This elevator takes you to a maze-like area with barriers and switches. It seems tricky, but there's really only one way through. You'll fight enemies in pretty much every section, which can be a bit cramped, so be ready. When you finally get to the other side, you'll face more of those tanks and Extermibots. After you clear them all out, find a side room with an elevator that goes up to where a woman is waiting. She's your ticket to the hoverboard races!

You can actually do all three tiers of the hoverboard races right now – Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Winning the Gold Cup gets you a sweet RYNO Holocard. To race, just hit the switch to spawn some Swingshot targets that lead to a ledge with more Raritanium. The races themselves are pretty straightforward. Hold [R2] to accelerate, and keep an eye on that boost meter in the upper left. To fill it up, you can either smash the crates scattered around the course or fly through the rings, especially the ones that send you off ramps. All three tiers use the same track layout. The Silver tier adds explosive crates that'll stop you in your tracks for a bit, and the Gold tier just has more of them and in different spots. Once you're done with Rilgar, hop back in the taxi to your ship and we'll head to Nebula G34!
