After defeating the enemies at the gatling gun, move to the last piece of roof on the other side of the gatling rooftop.

Finish off all the fat bandits in the open area from this vantage point.

Some bandits may come up the stairs to bring you health.

The boss fight will begin suddenly.

Stand a long distance from the boss and fire at his head.

When a flash warns you, step aside to avoid the cannonball (you will have about 2 seconds).

Return to your spot and continue shooting the boss in the head.

Tips

This strategy makes the boss fight very easy, with the boss potentially not hitting you at all.
