    Head up the hill and look through your squad-mate's sniper rifle scope to see Megamycete branches repelling BSAA choppers.

    Head down the hill; 2 Lycans will drop down and be easily defeated by your Dragoon auto-rifle.

    Fight a large wave of Lycans, including an archer at the top. Run in circles around the statue, turn and kill, reload, and repeat. Save the archer for last.

    Equip the laser pointer, aim it at the Megamycete near the statue, and hold R2. This takes several seconds and cannot be done in combat.

    Repeat this process two more times, as the Megamycete requires three strikes to be destroyed.

BOSS FIGHT: Armoured Urias

  1. Armoured Urias appears and is invulnerable except for his back.
  2. Run away and keep your distance, chipping away with gunfire or grenades while waiting for your Air Strike to recharge.
  3. Put distance between yourself and Urias, then target him. It takes at least 2 Air Strikes to take him down.
  4. Claim his Giant Crystal Mace.

Head further down, past the giant heart in the center of the Megamycete.

After the scene, head right towards the mist. In the center, very hard to see, is a Goat of Warding on the ground at the back of the area.

Head past the Heart and up the stone stairs to enter Miranda's Lab.

Collect the following files: Dimitrescu's Medical Report, Donna's Medical Report, Moreau's Medical Report, Heisenberg's Medical Report, Letter From Spencer File, and Miranda’s Diary. There are also some photos.

When ready to confront Miranda, head to the padlocked cell, slash it open, and proceed. Watch the scene.

Visit the Duke. Save your game. Sell any remaining Treasure and buy supplies.

BOSS FIGHT: Mother Miranda

Miranda transforms into three forms:

  1. Humanoid Form: Floats, attacks with slashing sweeps, projects Megamycete waves, and spins with her wings. Keep your distance.
  2. Arachnid-like Creature: Moves quickly, stabs with legs, hops rapidly, and performs a devastating jumping attack. Sprint left or right to dodge the jump.
  3. Aerial Form: Swoops down, performs spinning attacks if you are too close. If she summons bright yellow orbs, they will rain down; run.

At one point, she turns into a giant ball of glowing light and shoots projectiles. If she raises large Megamycete tendrils from the ground, get behind them for cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects).

Eventually, the screen will go dark, making it difficult to see Miranda as she appears and slashes.

Tips
  • Use Flash Grenades against Varcolacs.
  • Your night vision will help you see enemies in dark areas.
  • Use Med Injectors to fully restore health if needed.
  • When fighting waves of Lycans, prioritize taking out archer enemies first.
  • For the Megamycete destruction near the Maiden of War Statue, use the laser pointer and hold R2.
  • When fighting Armoured Urias, keep your distance and wait for the Air Strike to recharge.
  • Look carefully for the Goat of Warding in Miranda's Lab; it is hard to see.
  • When Mother Miranda summons projectiles, use the Megamycete tendrils for cover.
