The Prologue

Your first steps in Resident Evil Village are simple: put baby Rose to bed, find some key files, and unlock a trophy. Here's how to breeze through The Prologue.

Alright, so the very beginning of Resident Evil Village, "The Prologue," is pretty straightforward. You'll mostly be watching scenes at first. Once you finally get control of Ethan in his house, your main goal is to get baby Rose tucked into bed. It's not complicated, but there are a few things you can find and do before you move on.

To put Rose to bed, just head upstairs. The door you need is at the end of the hall on the left. Easy peasy. While you're exploring the house, you can interact with a bunch of stuff. Most of it is just for flavor, like looking at photos or the TV, but there are some important items to pick up. Make sure you grab the Memo on the Refrigerator Door (File).

Once you're upstairs, poke around the computer room. You'll find Ethan's Diary (File) there. Also, check the desk drawer for a Medical Report (File). There's also an empty guest bedroom; inside that room, you can find an Old News Clipping (File). Don't miss these!

Here's a little secret: find the ball in your bedroom. You need to push it all the way over to the study room. Doing this will unlock the Goooaaal! trophy. It's a nice little bonus for exploring!

Seriously, make sure you've grabbed everything you want from this area. Once you leave, you can't come back. When you're all set, head downstairs to find Mia. Watch the scene that follows, and that'll wrap up the Prologue. Then it's time for the real fun to begin in The Village!
