Within the Forgotten Tunnels, you will encounter specific enemy types that require tailored strategies. The Lurkers, for instance, are masters of camouflage, blending seamlessly with the damp, dark walls. They will often drop from the ceiling or emerge from hidden crevices. Their surprise attacks can be lethal, so maintaining a constant 360-degree awareness is vital. Listen for their distinctive skittering sounds. Another enemy to watch out for is the Tunnel Crawler, a large, segmented creature that moves rapidly along the walls and ceilings. Look for small, relatively safe pockets of air where you can briefly recover your health. There are often explosive barrels strategically placed within the chamber; these can be used to damage groups of enemies or clear pathways. The primary objective within this chamber is usually to reach a lever or activate a mechanism that will vent the gas, making the area traversable. Be aware that activating this mechanism may also trigger a wave of smaller, more agile enemies, so be prepared for a fight immediately after. Looting the corpses scattered around the chamber might yield valuable consumables or even a rare crafting component. One particular corpse near a rusted ventilation shaft is rumored to contain a significant amount of Emerald Flowsion.

The Subterranean River Crossing

Following the Gas-Filled Chamber, you will eventually reach the Subterranean River Crossing. This area features a wide, fast-flowing underground river that must be traversed. The primary challenge here is not the water itself, but the enemies that inhabit its banks and patrol its currents. Expect to encounter mutated amphibians and aggressive fish-like creatures that will attempt to drag you into the water or attack you as you attempt to cross. Enemies may attempt to knock you off these platforms, so prioritize eliminating any ranged attackers that pose a threat to your stability.
