Learn how to unlock the Dual Wield perk in Saints Row (2022). Complete challenges, manage perk slots, and double your firepower with SMGs and Pistols.

Alright, so you wanna be able to blast fools with two guns at once in Saints Row? That's awesome! It's called the Dual Wield perk, and it's pretty much the 20th perk you can unlock in the game. To get any perk, you gotta complete Challenges. They unlock in a set order, starting with 'Tactical Training' after you finish the mission [Making Rent]. So, to get Dual Wield, you'll need to complete any nineteen Challenges.

Challenges are their own thing, but for perks, just know you have to finish *all* the objectives for each one. Like, for the 'It’s a Living' Challenge, you need to do three things: do a Crime of Opportunity, rob an armored car, and find something in a dumpster. You can see your active Challenges on your phone under the 'Missions' tab, then switch over to 'Challenges'.

You start with nine Challenges, which isn't enough for Dual Wield. More pop up as you finish missions and unlock new Side Hustles and Ventures. To get enough Challenges, you'll probably want to get past the mission [Take Me to Church]. Honestly though, some Challenges are way easier than others, so it's smart to push a bit further, maybe to [Aggressive Recruiting] or even later. Always try to complete one of each Side Hustle and start new Ventures when you can, 'cause they often have their own Challenges tied to them.

Once you've got Dual Wield unlocked, you'll need to make space for it in your major Perk slots. You can have two major perks at a time, but you gotta pay up: $25,000 for the first extra slot, and $100,000 for the second. After that, just equip Dual Wield into one of those slots. Then, whenever you pull out an SMG or Pistol, you'll automatically have a second one ready to go!

Dual wielding these guns basically doubles your firepower. Your ammo capacity will be the sum of two weapons, so you'll reload just as often, but you'll be shredding enemies way faster. It burns through ammo quicker, sure, but the damage output is seriously worth it.
