Learn how to unlock new perks in Saints Row (2022) by completing challenges and missions. Discover how to equip them and unlock additional perk slots.

You'll unlock your first Perk, Tactical Training, after completing the mission Making Rent. Subsequent Perks are earned by completing Challenges, which can be found in the "Missions" menu on your phone. To complete a Challenge, you must finish all of its objectives. For example, the "It's a Living" Challenge requires completing a Crime of Opportunity, robbing an armored car, and finding something in a dumpster.

Completing Challenges earns you Perks in a set order. Initially, you have nine Challenges, and it's beneficial to grind these for starter Perks. More Challenges, and thus more Perks, become available as you progress through Missions that increase your Empire Tier, such as Networking, Drawing Heat, Body of Evidence, and Good Cop/Bad Cop. Establishing new Ventures also unlocks Challenges, though at a slower rate.

Once unlocked, Perks can be freely equipped. You can have up to five Perks equipped at a time, divided into three tiers: minor, major, and epic. You can equip up to two minor Perks, two major Perks, and one epic Perk. Initially, only one minor Perk slot is available. A second minor Perk slot costs $10,000. Each of the two major Perk slots and the single epic Perk slot must be unlocked with cash, costing $25,000, $100,000, and $250,000 respectively.
