Complete the Hot Zone mission in Smuggler's Run by evading CIA drivers and finding hidden checkpoints.
Walkthrough
- 1Head north out of the city gate and proceed north between the two plateaus on your map.
- 2Blast past the first CIA vehicle encounter and crash through the fence.
- 3Locate the green flare near the boulders to pick up the first item.
- 4Perform a 180-degree turn after picking up the item and drive through the border crossing.
- 5Follow the southeast dirt trail. When you see a mesa, turn left instead of going right, following the path southward into a pit with strange rock formations.
- 6The second checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) is at the left end of this pit. Hit it and perform a 180-degree turn to head back the way you came, being wary of pursuing CIA cars.
- 7Upon reaching the wide-open plain again, drive north.
- 8Pass the right side of the mesa ahead, crash through the barbed wire fence, and go through the small opening in the canyon wall to enter the oilfield.
- 9Drive north through the oilfield and pick up the contraband at the airport runway.
- 10Drive west back through the oilfield and climb over the hill with the windmills.
- 11Follow the highway until it ends, then take the jeep trail to the right.
- 12The next checkpoint is located in the dried-up oasis. Hit it.
- 13Proceed southwest to the next pickup point, which is hidden on top of a small mesa with an accessible path.
- 14Drive down the other side of the mesa and head southwest, taking the rightmost path through the mesas.
- 15When you see power poles, drive under them and locate a slightly camouflaged jeep trail behind them. Take this path.
- 16Eventually, you will reach a large jump over a very big pit. Take the jump to land on the other side where the finish is located.
Tips
- The CIA drivers are described as very bad drivers, so focus on them primarily around the second checkpoint.
- The last checkpoint of this level is cleverly hidden.
