Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic is a blue hedgehog known for his superpower: speed. He can run faster than the speed of sound, curl into a ball to spin and cut through materials, and enjoys travel and adventures. Although impatient, he always helps those in need and hates injustice. His only weakness is water; he can hydroplane at high speeds but cannot swim.

Versions of Sonic in Sonic Forces:

Modern Sonic

First appearing in Sonic Adventure, Modern Sonic is Sonic in the present day. He is taller than Classic Sonic, has green eyes, and more experience. In Sonic Forces, after being defeated by Infinite, Shadow, Zavok, Metal Sonic, & Chaos Zero while fighting Dr. Eggman, he was captured and hidden for 6 months while the Eggman Empire conquered 99% of the world.

Classic Sonic

First appearing in Sonic the Hedgehog, Classic Sonic is Sonic during his younger days (1991-1997). He is shorter and chubbier than Modern Sonic with black eyes. While he doesn't talk and lacks some of Modern Sonic's moves, he can still fight. After defeating Classic Eggman & Phantom King in the Egg Reverie Zone, the combined power of the Chaos Emeralds & Phantom Ruby transported Classic Sonic to Modern Sonic's time. He saved Tails from Chaos Zero and now joins forces with the Resistance to figure out Dr. Eggman's plans and find a way home.

Tails the Fox (aka Miles Prower)

First appearing in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Tails is Sonic's best friend, with an IQ and mechanical abilities nearly matching Dr. Eggman's. His real name is Miles Prower, nicknamed Tails due to his two tails, which he can spin like a propeller to fly. He uses Sonic's biplane, The Tornado, for long distances and airborne travel. In Sonic Forces, after Modern Sonic's defeat and disappearance, Tails cofounded the Resistance and helped with their technology, possibly creating the Wispons. He became depressed and less confident but regained hope and confidence after Classic Sonic saved him from Chaos Zero. Tails now travels with Classic Sonic to uncover Eggman's plans.

Knuckles the Echidna

First appearing in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Knuckles is a strong echidna, guardian of the Floating Island and the Master Emerald. After Sonic & Tails defeated Dr. Eggman a second time, the Death Egg crashed onto the Floating Island. Dr. Eggman tricked Knuckles into believing Sonic and Tails wanted the Master Emerald, allowing Eggman to repair the Death Egg. Once Knuckles learned the truth, he fought with Sonic & Tails, destroyed the Death Egg, and regained the Master Emerald. Knuckles can glide, climb walls, and dig tunnels. In Sonic Forces, before Modern Sonic was defeated by Infinite, Knuckles was warned by Silver about an unknown event changing the future. Afterward, Knuckles & Silver were attacked by Chaos Zero and defeated him. Realizing the situation's severity, Knuckles left Angel Island with Silver, joined forces with Tails, Amy, Espio, Charmy, Vector, & Rouge, created the Resistance, and became its Leader. He continues to fight the Eggman Empire.

Silver the Hedgehog

First appearing in Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 on November 14th, 2006, Silver is a psychic hedgehog with telekinesis. He is from the future and has returned to the past to prevent negative timeline events. In Sonic Forces, Silver returned to Modern Sonic's time, warned Knuckles about an event causing a bad future, teamed up with Knuckles, helped form the Resistance, and continues fighting the Eggman Empire to create a good future for Sonic's World.

Amy Rose the Hedgehog

First appearing in Sonic CD on November 19th, 1993, Amy Rose is a pink hedgehog who believes she is Sonic's girlfriend. She used to be a damsel in distress but can now defend herself with her Piko Piko Hammer. She adores Sonic and has mistaken other male hedgehogs, like Shadow & Silver, for him. In Sonic Forces, after Modern Sonic's defeat, Amy cofounded the Resistance, acting as an informant for HQ and a fighter on the battlefield.

Vector the Crocodile

First appearing in Knuckles Chaotix on April 20, 1995, Vector is a member of Team Chaotix, who helped Knuckles.
