Alright, let's talk about the Tag Team mechanic in Sonic Forces. It's a pretty cool way to play where you get to control both Sonic the Hedgehog and your custom Avatar at the same time. This means you can use both of their unique abilities, which can be super helpful! It's a bit like those team-up mechanics you might remember from games like Sonic Advance 3, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II, or even Sonic Heroes. The main difference here is that you can't manually switch between Sonic and your Avatar. The game does it for you automatically when you reach certain spots in a stage. Also, these Tag Team stages are scattered across the world map, and they don't have as many of those 2.5D sections you might be used to. Keep an eye on your Boost Gauge. When it's full, you can activate the awesome Double Boost, a special move where Sonic and your Avatar team up for a powerful burst of speed! ### Variations There's a special version of Tag Team during the final boss fight against the Death Egg Robot. In the third phase, it becomes a Triple Team! You'll be controlling Sonic, your Avatar, AND Classic Sonic all at once.
