Part 8

After the opening cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) (a TV interview that upsets Gnasty Gnorc, causing him to freeze dragons and turn their gems into soldiers), you begin in Artisans Home.

Walk forward to find and free Nestor, who explains you need to free 9 more dragons and find the balloonist.

Turn around, head back, take the left at the turn, and run down the slope.

Collect the two red gems ahead (14000 exist in the game).

Turn slightly left and jump onto a series of platforms, collecting gems along the way. A green gem counts as 2 red gems.

Jump to the highest platform, collect two green gems, then jump off back to the ground.

Turn right and approach the first enemy, a Gem Thief Gnorc. Chase it and hit it with flame (O button) or charge (hold [] button) to defeat it and collect a red gem. Hit it twice more to collect two additional gems.

Collect nearby gems, including two near the water and four red gems on another platform.

Turn left and free Delbin, who explains that the yellow dragonfly, Sparx, is your health meter. Sparx turns blue when you get hit, green after a second hit, and disappears after a third. Losing all health causes you to lose a life and respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death) at the last checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) (dragon or level start). Losing all lives results in a Game Over.

Turn right and head towards the green enemies on the hill. Collect three red gems and flame one before it runs away to get a purple gem (worth 5 red gems).

Enter the bushy area. Take the left route for red gems. In the middle, find a purple chest containing a life and a red-brown chest containing a green gem.

Exit the bushy area and find a portal labeled 'Dark Hollow'. Ignore it for now.

Collect two more gems around the other side and exit the bushes.

Run over the hill to find two more Scardey Gnorcs and a portal labeled 'Stone Hill'. Ignore the portal and chase the gnorcs for their gems.

Turn around to face a platform with treasure. Jump (X button, hold for more height) and then jump again at the peak to glide forward. Tap Triangle to drop from the glide if needed. Collect two red gems, two green gems, and a green gem from the red chest.

Drop to the right, run alongside the wall into a 'hidden' area.

Collect two red gems and four green gems from four red chests.

Flame or charge the sheep to release a butterfly for Sparx to eat and heal if he is not yellow.

Free Argus next to the sheep. He explains the Artisans boss is behind the stone dragon's mouth and requires exiting Stone Hill, Dark Hollow, or Town Square at least once to reach.
