Mushroom House Contents
There are three types of Mushroom Houses in Desert Land:
- House #1: Offers a random selection of items: Super Mushroom, Fire Flower, or Raccoon Leaf.
- House #2: Also offers a random selection of items: Super Mushroom, Fire Flower, or Raccoon Leaf.
- House #3: Contains a set item: the Frog Suit.

Encountering Wandering Hammer Brothers can yield valuable items:

Level 2-1 Walkthrough
Objective: Reach the end of the level and get your card.
- Start by heading right, defeating two Pile Driver Micro-Goombas and hitting a ? Block for a Power-Up.
- Continue right, defeating four more Pile Driver Micro-Goombas and a Red Koopa Troopa. Hit the ? Block on the right for an Invincible Starman.
- Defeat the Pile Driver Micro-Goomba and Firesnake. Use the Note Blocks to reach the top of the structure on the right.
- Kill the two Goombas, fall into the hole, and head left to break into the structure.
- Defeat the Firesnake with a tail attack if possible. Hit the brick near four Coins to get a 1-Up Mushroom.
- Get on the right side of the structure, run left, and fly using the Raccoon Leaf power-up to break bricks and access a pipe leading to Coins.
- After being deposited on the second structure, move left while the P-Block effect is active. Fall through the Coin to enter the structure.
- Collect the Coins as the P-Switch effect wears off, being careful of the Firesnake.
- Continue right, defeating two Piranha Plants and a Pile Driver Micro-Goomba.
- Optionally, go down the last pipe to hit a P-Switch. This turns nearby bricks into Coins. You can repeat this for more Coins.
- Head right into the black segment to hit the slot box for a card, dodging the Pile Driver Micro-Goomba underneath.
Level 2-2 Walkthrough (White Mushroom House Level)
Objective: Collect at least 30 Coins to make the White Mushroom House appear and reach the end of the level.
- This level is the White Mushroom House level. Aim to collect as many Coins as possible.
- Go up the hill, defeat a Goomba, and jump over a quicksand pit with a Venus Fire Trap. Go up the slope and bump the wooden block for a Power-Up.
- Collect Coins as you jump to the pipe. Head down the short slope, jump over another quicksand pit with a Venus Fire Trap, and reach a wooden platform that will start moving right when you step on it.
- As the platform moves right, collect Coins. Duck and hit two bricks for a Coin and a P-Switch (do not activate it yet).
- Collect more Coins and hit the invisible block containing a 1-Up.
- Swim left past Cheep-Cheeps to return to the starting wooden platform.
- When you reach the P-Switch ledge, step onto it. Wait for the wooden platform to start moving right ahead of you before activating the P-Switch.
- Jump right onto the now-coin-filled wooden ledge and collect the Coins.
- After collecting Coins, take a running leap to the right to fly through four Coins (collect at least three).
- Go through the pipe on the right to reach the end of level black segment. Run right to hit the slot box for your card. If you collected enough Coins, you will win an Anchor.
World Two Fortress #1 Walkthrough
Objective: Defeat the enemies and reach the end of the fortress.
