Walkthrough

After a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) where you meet Juna, Altina, and Kurt, you will need to take on Einhel Keep to learn the controls.

Press the [Triangle] button to open your menu, navigate to the Orbment tab, select Quartz, and insert the Brigid Quartz to unlock 'Class VII Begins Anew!'.

Exit the menu and watch another cutscene. You will receive an introduction to the Notebook.

Head through the door ahead and follow the path until you encounter an enemy. You will receive a tutorial on Assault Attacks.

Initiate the battle against the Jeweled Ripper. Hit it once with a normal attack to trigger a tutorial on Crafts. Use your Crafts to defeat the enemy.

Continue along the path until you reach a Charging Station. You will receive a tutorial on its function. Interact with it to restore HP/EP.

Proceed into the next room and engage the next enemy. You will receive a tutorial on Arts. Inspect the enemy to discover its weakness: the Carabase is weak to Fire.

After defeating the enemies, go to the right corner and open the Chest to obtain a Breath R.

Make your way into the next room to battle a Juicy Organ. Switch Juna’s weapon to Gunner Mode, inspect the enemy, and use the Needle Shoot Art, as it is weak to Earth.

After defeating the enemies, you will learn about Juna’s weapon change ability.

Continue to the end of the corridor and open the Chest to obtain a Fire Bolt R.

Proceed until you encounter a Fate Spinner. This enemy is weak to Wind/Fire. Use Rean’s Fire Bolt and Kurt’s Air Strike Arts.

After defeating the enemies, you will receive information on Combat Links. Open the Chest in the back corner to obtain x3 Teara Balm, EP Charge II, and Curia Balm.

Continue onwards until you reach a path that allows you to go left. Open the Chest to obtain a Proxy Puppet.

Proceed into the next room to face the sub-boss, Gigant Organ. This enemy is weak to Earth, so Juna’s Needle Shoot Art is effective. Use Crafts that hit multiple enemies to put them in Break status simultaneously.

After defeating the enemies, you will unlock S-Crafts. Hold [R1] and select 7th Slash - Fallen Leaves to defeat the enemy.

Continue following the path until you enter a small corridor. Use the Charging Station before entering the next room to face the boss, Magic Knight Direwolf.

Before attacking the Magic Knight Direwolf, inspect it using a Battle Scope. It is very weak to Earth (180), slightly weak to Water and Wind (120), and resistant to Fire (80). Use Juna’s Needle Shoot and Kurt’s Air Strike Arts.

When the Knight enters an Enhanced State, it becomes easier to Break but deals more damage. Use Crafts with a high break rating, such as Rean’s Crescent Flash and Kurt’s Rain Slash.

Tips

Use the Charging Station to restore any lost HP or CP.
Inspect enemies to discover their weaknesses before battle.
Use Crafts that hit multiple enemies to put more than one in Break status at a time during the Gigant Organ fight.
Heal up after the boss performs an attack.

Exit the Main Building and go left to the Vegetable Garden to speak with Freddy and receive his Character Note.

Enter the Hangar and speak with Tita. After a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically), you will gain the ability to synthesize Quartz. Select 'Modify Orbment' and consider creating the Teara Quartz for HP healing. You will also receive Tita's Character Note.

Quick Travel to the Courtyard and speak with Valerie to get her Character Note.

Enter the Clubhouse, go downstairs, and enter the Firing Range to speak with Leonora and Maya for their Character Notes.

Tips

Collecting all Character Notes is tied to a Trophy and important rewards later in the game.
Quick Travel allows you to get to previously visited locations by pressing the [Square] button.
Character Profiles provide background information on characters.
Consider creating the Teara Quartz to give characters equipped with it the ability to heal a medium amount of HP.
