Complete walkthrough for Part 31 of Tomb Raider: Legend, guiding you through the castle climb, sea serpent boss fight, and artifact retrieval.
Walkthrough
- 1Grapple the coffin and pull it out of its hole into the water.
- 2Jump into the water and climb aboard the coffin.
- 3Grapple the lights on the wall to propel the coffin towards a pressure plate.
- 4Once at the end of the water, exit the coffin onto solid ground.
- 5Grapple-pull the coffin out of the water and onto the pressure pad to open a portcullis.
- 6Continue down the hall, jump into the water, and turn right.
- 7Below the silver grate, find and grab a bronze reward (Bronze 8/9).
- 8Locate a lever below the water at the other end of the passageway to open the grate blocking the coffin.
- 9Open the lever, jump onto the coffin, and ride it until an opening appears on the right.
- 10Jump through the opening, proceed forward in the water, take the first left, then another left to allow the coffin to follow.
- 11Jump onto the coffin and ride it again.
- 12When the coffin reaches the grate in the middle of its path, look to its right for a silver reward above water in an alcove.
- 13Grapple the lights on the wall and move the coffin next to the reward. Jump over to grab it, then return to the coffin.
- 14Grapple-pull the coffin back to the closed grate.
- 15Jump over the closed gate and follow the path as Lara falls down a waterfall into a large lake before a giant castle.
- 16Swim to the castle and exit the water.
- 17Castle Climb Setup:
- 18Grapple the left light and pull it parallel to the front of the castle by going around the left corner.
- 19Grapple the right light and pull it so it points away from the castle towards the lake.
- 20Castle Climb:
- 21Go to the left side of the castle and jump onto the lowest small white ledge.
- 22Vault up to the platform above.
- 23Turn right, jump to the horizontal pole, and then onto the slide.
- 24At the last moment, jump from the slide to the moved left light.
- 25Jump and grapple the much higher solid light.
- 26While swinging from the high light, time your jump to land on the right light you moved earlier.
- 27Once it swings around, jump onto the small platform beyond.
- 28Jump up on the platform, turn right, and jump to a small ledge.
- 29Shimmy across the ledge and jump to another ledge.
- 30Jump right to a golden rope.
- 31Climb the rope to the top and jump onto the roof.
- 32Silver Reward (Silver 5/5): Just before jumping down into the castle, go to the other side of the roof. Behind a vertical spike is a silver reward. Grab it and return to the rope.
- 33Slide all the way down the rope in the middle of the roof.
- 34After Lara's speech, approach the broken sarcophagus.
- 35Drag the broken section of the sarcophagus to one of the broken pillars.
- 36Jump onto the sarcophagus piece, then onto the pillar.
- 37Turn around and jump onto the rope holding a sandbag. The bell Lara slid down on will rise.
- 38Jump down and grapple-pull the nearby chandelier so it swings and hits the bell.
- 39If necessary, get back on the rope to raise the bell again and repeat until the chandelier hits it.
- 40This will shatter the 'shell' Arthur is in, allowing access to the sword fragment.
- 41After Lara takes the fragment, the door to the castle opens.
- 42Sea Serpent Boss Fight:
- 43A gigantic sea serpent rises from the water.
- 44The serpent has three attacks: swinging its head sideways, snapping directly with its jaws, and firing green projectiles.
- 45Do not shoot the serpent directly; it is ineffective.
- 46There are 4 bells surrounding the serpent. Shoot the bells until the serpent is dazed and stares at them.
- 47While the serpent is dazed, it is vulnerable.
Tips
- Use the coffin as a slow but easy-to-time boat for navigating water sections.
- When climbing the castle, carefully time your jumps between the moved lights and ledges.
- For the sea serpent, focus on hitting the bells to stun it rather than attacking it directly.
- Bronze Reward (8/9)
